A free alternative to paid auto-apply tools
Job seekers mostly choose between two kinds of tools: services that apply for you on a subscription, and browser extensions that fill in forms while you click submit. FreeApply is a third kind: an agent that runs inside the AI app you already use, for free, with your data on your computer.

FreeApply as a LazyApply alternative
LazyApply sells yearly plans sized by how many applications it sends a day, from 15 to 1,500. FreeApply has no plan to buy and no daily quota of its own: it applies as much as your pace settings, your optional daily cap and your AI app's usage limits allow, and it skips jobs below your pay floor or already applied to. It also refuses cover letters and answers that claim experience your résumé doesn't support.
FreeApply as a JobCopilot alternative
JobCopilot runs as a service that applies on company career pages for a daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly price. FreeApply covers the same ground, company career pages included, but the work happens in your own AI app and browser, so there is no subscription and your applications are recorded in a dashboard on your computer.
FreeApply as a Simplify alternative
Simplify's Copilot extension fills in application forms on career sites so you can apply faster yourself. If you want to stay hands-on for every form, an autofill extension is the lighter choice. FreeApply goes further: it searches, decides what fits, fills in and submits, and hands you only what needs a person, such as CAPTCHAs, new accounts and questions your settings don't answer.
Which one fits you
- FreeApply fits if you already use Claude, Cursor, VS Code or Windsurf, want to pay nothing extra, and want your résumé and applications to stay on your computer.
- A hosted auto-apply service may fit better if you don't use an AI app that supports MCP, want zero setup, or use ChatGPT, which FreeApply doesn't support yet.
- An autofill extension may fit better if you only want help typing the same details into forms and prefer to submit every application yourself.
